Dr. Samuel H. Barry
As someone who was a patient of fantastic optometrists and ophthalmologists -- Dr. Barry previously wore glasses and contacts before undergoing LASIK -- he understands the trust patients place in their eye care providers. He is honored by the opportunity to provide cutting-edge care to patients, and is extremely fortunate to be surrounded by the like-minded, compassionate staff and physicians at Solomon Eye.
Education
Dr. Barry grew up in Virginia and attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry. He graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency training at the University of Missouri where he served as Chief Resident. During this time he developed a passion for cataract, refractive, and cornea surgery and published research on advancing treatment of astigmatism with toric intraocular lenses.
